    Effective Fat Loss

When I am starting off with a new client who is looking to improve body composition I firstly need to establish a decent snap shot of the clients history of food intake, training experience and also any symptoms that may need addressing such as sleep, gut function, energy levels or stress levels.

I have found the most effective method for fat loss is buy using the metabolic analytics – bioprint protocol which I discuss further in this blog post. Briefly, metabolic analytics – bioprint, analyses body fat storage over 14 different sites of the body. Excess fat storage on different parts of the body relate to a hormonal or metabolic deficiency or imbalance. When this imbalance is addressed, more effective fat loss and body composition changes are achieved.

Training wise I focus on resistance training which is the most effective type of training for improving body composition. Before the first session, I’ll establish the clients training history and whether the client can start off at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level. I’m conscious not to overload the client early especially if their just
    starting out.

I will also provide the client with workouts they can complete in their own time either at the gym, home or outdoor with or without equipment from beginner to experienced level.

I’ll also encourage the client to get in as much daily walking as possible especially if the client is seated at a desk all day.

Regarding food intake, I’ll work out the clients base metabolic rate based on their height, age and weight. I’ll then calculate an appropriate calorie amount based on the clients BMR and additional daily calorie output from exercise. From there we can then workout an appropriate macro-nutrient breakdown.

As the client progresses the training load and intensity will increase based on the clients improving strength and fitness levels. The clients calorie and macro intake will also be adjusted based on the clients results.

Consistency in both training and food intake is key for long term results to be achieved.
