    BBQ Beef Skewers

    Perfect on a warm summers night, these beef skewers can either be BBQ’d or pan fried and are finished off with a home- made BBQ sauce. The greens salad is also dressed with a home-made salad dressing.

      Ingredients for Skewers

      Instead of buying diced beef, I purchased porterhouse steak and cut it into small portions however you can use diced beef if you wish.

      Ingredients for Green Salad

    • Gourmet salad mix
    • Sliced cucumber
    • Sliced tomato
    • Pitted olives
    • Sliced red capsicum

      Ingredients for BBQ Sauce

    • Tomato paste 140gm
    • 1/2 onion
    • 1 stevia tab
    • Salt to taste
    • 2 cloves of garlic
    • 1 capsicum chopped
    • 1 cup beef stock

      Ingredients for Salad Dressing

    • 3 egg yolks
    • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 stevia tab
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • Squeeze lemon juice


    Method for Salad Dressing:

    • First prepare the salad dressing and the bbq sauce.
    • Separate 3 egg yolks into a bowl and beat with an electric beater until yolks are lighter in colour and thick.
    • Add remaining ingredients and beat again mixture is consistent.

      Method for BBQ Sauce:

    • In a pan add olive oil then add onion, garlic, chopped capsicum and salt.
    • Sautee and then transfer to a blender or food processer
    • Add remaining ingredients to blender and blend until you reach a sauce like consistency.

      Method for Beef Skewers

    • Skewer diced beef and then cook on bbq.
    • When before serving brush the skewers with bbq sauce

      Method for Salad

    • Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix well
    • Drizzle the salad dressing on top of the salad
