    What type of carbohydrates should I avoid?

    Processed carbohydrates that are made from refined sugar, other energy dense carbohydrates such as pasta, bread, rice, potatoes and bananas enter the blood stream quickly resulting in sharp blood sugar and insulin spikes. These types of carbohydrates contain high amounts of energy. If this high amount of energy is not utilised it will then be stored as fat.
