    Low Carb Pizza Base III – Gluten Free Pizza Base

    This is the third version of my low carb pizza base. It contains flaxseeds, coconut flour, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. These ingredients help keep the carb content low and are also gluten free.

     

    Ingredients for base:
    1 egg
    1 tbs of coconut oil (finely blended)
    1/2 cup of coconut flour (finely blended)
    1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds (finely blended)
    1/2 cup of sunflower seeds (finely blended)
    2 tbs of crushed flaxseeds
    Dried herbs
    Salt and pepper

    Method:
    Pre-head oven to 180dg
    Whisk egg in a bowl
    Blend all ingredients finely and add to bowl
    Heat coconut oil and add to bowl with dried herbs, salt and pepper
    Ingredients should form a dough type consistency
    Line a baking tray with baking paper and add dough onto paper
    Need the dough into a flat circle then place in oven for approx 15 mins

    When the base is ready you can then add the topping.

    You can use whatever topping you like however I used the following:
    Tomato paste for base
    Spinach leaves
    Cooked prawns
    Tomato
    Mozzarella cheese
