After spending 9 years in the corporate world in 2009 I made a career move into the fitness industry. During my 9 years behind a desk I noticed how the long hours being sedentary, easy access to convenience food and the stress of high workloads contributed to weight gain, not only for myself but for those around me. I found out the hard way that following twice a day training regimes, restricting calorie intake, cutting carbs and everything else out of my diet and leaving no room for error was both unsustainable and short-lived.

Since 2010 I have been a personal trainer in Port Melbourne starting in a commercial gym and then moving to my current location at Fluid Health in Bay St, Port Melbourne. In this time I have undertaken numerous qualifications in both strength training, functional training, nutrition and hormonal and blood analysis.

My focus is to provide a straight forward and time efficient approach to improving body composition.

Specifically, I have completed BioPrint, now called Metabolic Analytics which looks at how body fat distribution relates to hormonal and metabolic imbalances. Once these hormonal and metabolic disruptions are corrected we notice more efficient changes in body composition either through fat loss or muscle gain.

BioPrint specifically looks at the influence that insulin, stress, cortisol, estrogen, testosterone and toxicity has on body composition.

Blood chemistry analysis relates to how specific blood markers affect health and body composition. When you understand how certain hormones are effected by training, stress, sleep and food intake you are then able to improve the functionality of those hormones which will then improve body composition, training intensity, sleep, and energy levels.

I would studiously turn up at pump or body attack classes, thinking I was working hard and feeling shattered afterwards but not really seeing any results. After signing up with Nick and firstly training with weights, I could not believe that I was lifting my own body weight and more after a short amount of time. Because Nick said I could do it, I believed I could do and sure enough I did! I toned up in all the areas I wanted. We also began some cardio training.     Trained with Nick for nearly 2 years in Port Melbourne - He’s an awesome trainer and really helped me gain strength and confidence. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a trainer in the area to help them achieve their fitness goals.

    I've gone to Nick for personal training for almost 2 years - could not rate him and his training style highly enough. Nick tailors training to really suit your goals and needs, and is genuinely invested in helping you achieve progress. On top of that he provides a motivating, supportive and positive environment to train in!

    I cannot even begin to express what an absolute gift it has been to have Nick as my PT over the past two years. With his guidance and expertise, you feel inspired to push yourself and achieve brilliant results – I went from a scrawny-looking teenager to deadlifting 100kg and bench pressing more than I could have ever imagined making me feel stronger and healthier. Even more than that, his good humour and conversation will get you looking forward to the gym rather than dreading the thought of it.

    I could not have gotten through the numerous lockdowns without Nick as my anchor every week. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

    Nick is an incredibly knowledgeable trainer . I arrived with a super high heart rate, back issues and auto immune problems and 8 months later I am the healthiest and strongest I have been. Nick connected with my physio about my back and had an in depth chat with me about my goals and issues. This is the first time I have exercised routinely and not been injured or had my auto immune responses triggered. My heart levels have improved dramatically and every week I felt massive improvements to my strength and health. Nick is generous with his time and knowledge, he gave me workouts to do at home during the week and workouts to do through the lockdowns. Also it's just super fun, I look forward to going every week and laugh my way through or debrief/vent. I have never committed to an exercise routine until now. And I hope to continue these habits in London! Miss ya Nick! Send me a workout 💪💪

    Nick is an exceptional trainer with a friendly demeanour and down to earth to nature. Nick caters for clients at all levels of fitness. His in-depth knowledge of the fitness industry coupled with his expert nutritional advice really achieves results. Nick helped me to achieve a level of strength which I thought would be impossible.
